'The nexus of space and time is where you are, now!' Terence mcKenna says on the track 'reclaim your mind' , and this is exactly what the music of The Nexus is about. The music is inspired by the moment, the chemistry of the musicians and their context, now. Pianist Franz von Chossy, internationally recognized for his excellent and original musicianship, explores in this group the possibilities of the 'nord electro', giving the group a more rock-like direction. Drummer Philippe Lemm and bassist Rodrigo Reijers lay down their colorful grooves. The funk legacy is obviously there, as well as so many more musical roots, but somehow they merge it into something of their own. Sometimes accompanied by toads and prophets they tumble through a psychedelic odyssey of hypnotic grooves and strange soundscapes.
